Ok, it’s a scenery order problem. I see it now and missed it first time around. Your scenery.ini file loads things from the BOTTOM up. That’s why the mesh starts with zzz, to remind you it goes at the bottom, and the orthos with z to remind you they go next, etc.
In general, you want it go, from the top down:
- Custom airports
- Aerosoft airports
- Global airports
- Custom regions (like KSEA)
- World2Xp
- Libraries
- Ortho overlays
- Ortho scenery
- Mesh
Looking at your .ini file, you want the US West ABOVE the overall W2XP. Flip the order and see how that works.

I have not used the Brunner, but I see it is 1,000 Euro more than the Yoko. I can tell you that I am extremely happy with the Yoko. There is real tension on the yoke, and it feels very similar to me to flying a real-world piston aircraft especially during landing as you really need to “pull” on the airplane during flare. If my trim wheel isn’t working and I need to hold the airplane at a particular up or down pitch, my arms get tired. And the build quality is world class.
Personally, with the Yoko I feel no need for force feedback. If you’re willing to drop 1,800 Euro on a yoke, I’d get two Yokos and save a couple hundred.

Scenery file looks good to me. I never look that closely at the autogen models, so he may very well have created textures with plants on the outside to better simulate the look of plantings from a distance.
Did you also follow these config instructions?
Will clash with w2xp_America unless you disable the overlapping scenery. This is easily done by renaming w2xp_America folders as follows:
X-plane\Custom Scenery\w2xp_America\Earth nav data
+30-110.disable
+30-120.disable
+30-130.disable
+40-110.disable
+40-120.disable

Mine isn’t crashing, but yesterday it began to inconsistently crater my framerates when loading in the clouds, with FPS going from 24 fps down to 4 in the course of about 30 seconds. But another time I load in everything works fine. Not certain what the inconsistency is …

I have no idea how to edit the aircraft in P3D, but I found that with custom cameras I didn’t need to. See here: http://www.ontheglideslope.net/2016/05/18/how-to-creating-custom-cameras-in-prepar3d-v3/

I have been very happy with Tom’s FSXTimes gauges, and his 172 gauges are very good. AirManager is great, but the 172 gauges have a grey background and my panel is black. I use it when I fly in a B58 twin. Also check out RemoteFlight if you have an iPad.
My view is you really can’t go wrong. Read them over and see what works best for your setup.

FIPs are the flight instrument panels made by Saitek. More here. They are actually only about 1/4 inch thick and you can panel mount them. There’s a large market of custom gauges they can run in FSX, P3D, and X-Plane.

My GTN runs on a 7″ touchscreen monitor plugged into the PC. I tried running it on a tablet, but had very poor success with the “turn a tablet into a monitor” apps. Buggy and crashed. They may have improved since.
But in XP 11, at least so far, it’s no joy on the GTN. It does not yet drag to a new screen. RXP say this will be fixed eventually. In P3D the Flight1 GTN works great on the touchscreen.

I like the iPad a lot, and am not looking into anything else. I like to fly a variety of aircraft in the sim, and between the various iOS apps available I’m able to replicate lots of different instrumentation layouts. I could have used an Android tablet as well, but the iPad was handy. I considered using a tablet PC, but there was really no need given the capability (and simplicity) of the mobile apps.
