Perfect thanks so much Alan! This is exactly what I am looking for Xplane or P3Dv4 the theory and execution is about the same.

Excellent! I think I am going to build something similar for mine. I am going to try to create a Baron 58 cockpit but I have a very limited budget so I am just buying a few pieces here and there.
<input type=”hidden” value=”3040″ /><span class=”vortex-p-like-counter 3040″>0</span>I am very much in the same position. Most of the parts in the console I have been buying over the past year. No way can I afford to buy all at once. Just keep at it you will get there!

Decided to go with a single trim wheel this time around instead of two. I have the face plate for two but since the saitek trim wheels are hard to obtain I decided to stick with a single one. Did a bit more work today and got quite a bit further.

Looking to finish this up over the weekend if time permits. Here is the current status of the console.

Thanks Alan!
I’ll add another updated picture from a little more work I put in once I get a chance.

Now iam not really sure which Monitor or TVs on both sides i build in my Simulator. I think when i am sit in my Simulator and look to the side iam to near to the Monitor / TV so i cant see the landscape in Background very good. Is this true or i Imagine this ?
Florian,
Your not imagining this. I have a similar issue. The problem is not just with how close you are or if the TV/Monitor is in 1080P but rather its an issue with the pixel format your sending to the screen. Of the 3 screens I have in my simulator (Left, Center, Right) I can get only two of them to utilize Pixel format 4:4:4 which makes the image look really good. The 3rd monitor I can’t even get the option so for me I think its a limitation of my r9 290 video card. Maybe look and confirm that all of your monitors are in a higher Pixel format otherwise it will look pixelated, over saturated in color and hard to see.

Is everyone runing Air Manager on the gaming PC or using a separate computer?
I am still running P3D with the AM plugin installed on the main Flight Sim computer and then the full AM interface with gauges on a separate PC. Works extremely well for me, so good in fact I just flew a full IFR night flight with almost no visibility and the gauges for me were perfect. I was using the A2A 172 aircraft as well.

I am happy with both products both AM and PB. I just couldn’t get the 6 pack working correctly in PB so I am using AM. I have found and confirmed that I can use both on the PC at the same time in my environment. So I am using a hybrid solution to get the best out of both worlds.

oh yeah, AM is superb and easy to install, and use It is evolving and still kind of Pre-Mature I see the potential in this product. However, we need to bear in mind that: AM is one man or almost one man operation, mean we need to really on our Skills or the Good Will of the Community when it comes to new gauges or modifying existing ones. I’m flying the Carenado CT206H, and since I do not have the required Skills to create or modify gauges .. so no use for me (-: Cheers Yair
Yup agreed! I am in the same position I don’t understand the scripting side of it. Not that I can’t learn but I will probably lean on the community quite a bit for help. As for the graphic design side of things I am not as worried that I can work on over time. Though for now I fly the Cessna 172 100% of the time so what I have is working well for me.
Looking to try out a low wing maybe this weekend see how far I get with gauges and configurations should be a fun challenge for me. I also want to go back to xp11 and see if I can get all of the graphics to work. I have had no luck at all with orthos. And without them xp11 looks really bad IMO.

Big thank you to everyone who recommended Air Manager. I got it installed, configured and running in about 30min and the difference between Air Manager and Panel Builder is night and day. I can actually use my gauges for IFR flight now where Panel builder would give me such random and jerky movement I didn’t dare fly IFR. So again big thanks to everyone!

Anyone had a chance to get hands on with the GoFlight yoke? They have a GA version out now and I have been looking at possibly buying for quite some time. At roughly $550 it makes the cost a bit easier to handle IMO.

Looks great Tony. Very good design, I know from my own experience how hard designing a cockpit is when you dont have enough room. Yours looks very good!
Thanks Jeroen! It was a challenge for sure but I am pretty happy with the end result. Now time to focus on simulation for a bit and building out my radio stack. Good times ahead!

Yup I see what you mean it does add quite a bit more visual expanse to your over all view! That is pretty darn slick looking. What video card are you using? I got a r9 290x and I can’t seem to get a very clear image on my side windows its like the card won’t send out the correct 1080p @60hz or something even though it says it is. Maybe an upgrade which I need to do anyhow to a gtx1070 would help in that department?

That is so great. I love how compact it is. It fits in a bedroom! What did you use around the bezels / edges of the side TV cutouts? It looks sort of like the window edging I have in my sim but a bit nicer.
<input type=”hidden” value=”1727″ /><span class=”vortex-p-like-counter 1727″>0</span>Thanks, yes i am happy with the size though my 6yr old daughter loves to fly and I don’t have enough room for dual controls but once in the air she takes full control and I just watch from behind. Pretty sure she is a better pilot than me LOL! 🙂
The trim is made for metal edges on vehicles. I like it because it has metal brackets molded into the edging. These can be pinched together to hold the trim in place. link below if you want to look at it up close.

How large is the tv you have for the forward view?
Only 43″ I couldn’t at the time afford to go larger due to both space and money. I plan on upgrading to a projector so I can grow the screen larger as I acquire more room over time.
Here is the link to the screen:
