I will search my files to find the drawing with approximate dimensions and the wood details. I used 2×2 wood and screws. And cover it with cardboard insulation from Home depot.

Mine are same way, I first put the outside wall and then had help holding the tv in pplace while screw the inside wall

Looks like a prefill object. Check the objects in plane maker and see if any objects have ‘prefill’ checked. You’ll need to remove that object as well. Happened me when upgrade too.

I am reinstalling everything, installed the update and my plane is out of control when accelerating. Updates!!

I corrected the view problem like you and have the prop little bit to the left, i need play with plane maker to see if there are ways to correct it. At least I feel flying in a more real plane now.

I fly scanning the area to visually locate me in relation to area map and to be ready for any emergency like real flying. I normally look more to the front for directional awareness/ control, but every pilot have its own book and preferences. My CFI teach me to constantly scan the area for safety, also scan the gauges. I try practice the same scanning procedure I learned during my training for the day that I decided to fly real plane again. The scanning method already safe me from trouble in the air. Again is more person related.

Like in a real plane nice see to the sides where you have more to see, front view is limited and sometimes need some turns to see what is below plane nose/prop.

Xplane needs do something to improve the way we locate the view point like Preprd3d, but lot of improvements over years, also need a plane that reflects better the real one, default C172 is not real.

The same things happens to me, is like having crosswind. Especially when landing, same as you I tried changes using the plane maker but things came worst. I see the TBG have a perfect view, so I think is a way to fix this situation. Hope someone here help us and sure some others to fix this situation. I opted to move my head to the center of the cockpit when landing which has no sence from simulation standpoint. I will ask X-plane guys and see what they say,

Pablo, a mi esta funcionando muy bien. El plugin asumo esta en resources plugins pero no lo esta viendo si me envias tu direccion electronica te puedo enviar screen shots de mi setup. si estas usando la misma computadora de x-11 es mas facil y la comunicacion es mas sencilla. ahora no estoy en mi computadora pero en la noche puedo enviarte mas informacion pedro.monroig@gmail.com. Yo lo estoy usando con una comptadora remota y a veces uso la de xplane para los radios. Es un programa estupendo.

Richard, thanks for the suggestions. I found that X-plane 11 probably has a bug and i will formally document it. I follow your recommendations for front screen and the vertical objects aligned perfect. I did some temporary adjustments until a final fix from X-plane guys. I have a short throw optoma, not the UST so I need to use the advantage of my high ceiling to project lower than my gauges shield. i installed my GT1080 high and adjusted the front screen vertically and went up to a value of 22, my side screens were aligned really good and aside of the color difference and less definition than LED TVs the horizon was looking great. Except the issue described in my previous post. i discovered that increasing the vertical value to lower the cowl combined with a projector the vertical lines start to incline to the center, bigger the number, bigger the distortion.

I physically lowered my projector and also via menu lowered the lens to get the cowl as low as possible, then use a setting of 7 for the front screen vertical. Now it was difficult to adjust the horizon and the FOV to have near the same zoom and level horizons. After some hours I was not able to get the  same visual I had before when had the projector close to the ceiling. As a note, the Optoma has perfect aliment with any other software, movie or picture i display in the screen. Having the projector so low result in close to half of the projection over my cockpit roof, anyway i still can see a full view with a very minor side of the right screen border. Forgot to mention that I have my setup to the let side of the screen and not centered, I was forced to move my setup back from the screen to project lower than the gauge shield. Feel like I am flying with left side wind. i will continue my testing and probably will return to the original setup, better horizon and leave with the incline poles and trees in the ground.

I still try to understand why the reason for this deflection with a projector and not with any of the LCD I have, with LCD TV I can go up to a setting of 30 in the vertical and everything is aligned perfectly. I do not know if it is only with the GT1080 Darbee

I do not have a video, see the images still building it and learning from all of you how to improve from prototype to a final design. I will redo the panel with an aluminum plate 4 mm alumax to better locate the encoders, will eliminate the square over the yoke and change color. I received a black rubber to make the top of y panel. cover the ceiling and order my projector i waited for the release of the Optoma gt1080 dardee, but its in backorder. i had a 55 for front screen but damaged and took this 40 from my RV. I ordered several electronic parts from china to build my radios,with Mobiflight, there is a guy that posted his project there. His design is fantastic but is not complete, so i will need to ask help from my friends and practice electronics again. After i get my projector and set the views, finish my radio set, then I will start making the instruments following an example posted in ardsim forum. I will buy a 3D printer to make my bezels, also a guys posted the project and the files in ardsim.I will try do one at a time to not lose my time.

The heading bug in the heading indicator (directional gyro) Im using autopilot heading down/up. I m using leobonard board and rotary encoders.

the other encoder is to set the Heading indicator and im using DG sync up and DG sync down.  I scroll down line by line in xplane setup until found the above lines. Let me know if work for you

nice panel, im also redesigning my panel. I have 2 43″ tv for windows and one 40″ for front display until grt my projector. I cant align the. Monitors without losing the depth. And today during some landing test i feel like having cross wind but is not. Is like landing with plane tail to right side.
