I think that I found a way to nail this issue:
I use a 40″ for the front and 32″ for the sides.
I set both sides to FOV of 60 and the front to 90
Now, my trick is to install x-camera. this will allow you to move the viewpoint to the center of the aircraft. Then, I twaekd the roll offset at 5 degrees on the side screens and it’s aligned perfectly

Look for the option to enable lateral offsets in each screen’s configuration, right at the bottom of the scrolable list.

After playing around with this for a while, I found that the best way for me was:
1. align the screens so the bases of them all are at the same level.
2. use only the lateral offset (-90, 0, 90)
3. tweak the flat fractional offsets! This what makes it all work
XP11 is smart enough to know that you have different screens and resolutions but, you should also set the screen resolution for each screen (don’t use default). The only thing left is the field of view. That depends on your seat location and etc.
Good luck!

I had a blast!
The main problem was to get used to the “American” ATC…
I just finished the CAT2 rating!!
today I am planning to go for the CAT3, pattern at KSBP. Anyone wants to join in?
I will probably be online at around 21:00Z

I tried that, and what basically happens is the Barometer just spins like crazy…
I think that there is also a factor of the units per tick somewhere… can’t get it right.

Thank you for the tip BFG!
I will give them a test flight today or tomorrow, and will try to record it (how do you record the sound with the gopro???)Hanan MoiseyevParticipant

OK, I want to give PE a try!
One question though…When watching the videos here, I see that the controllers are using a different approach to what I am used to in the real life and sim GA flights….
Over here we fly CVFR only, which means you never fly without a controller (in real life).
Where can I train my PE/US COM skills?

I used M4 bolts to screw the TPM to the bottom of the shelf.

BTW, one interesting method I came up with to align the screens:
load the default Cessna, having the camera exactly in the center.
Now set every screen to cover exactly the window it pretends to be.
it actually gave a great result!

Hi Louis,
My setup is still in design progress, as I now understand that aligning the bottom (or top) of all screens will make life easier when trying to align them all.
I have also started to play around with the way I want my dashboard to be set. I like “close to reality” setups but I had a few limitations. For example, the stock wood paltes over here are 122cm wide, and that’s about 2 inches less then what can fit to pilot sits. So I built my own sit and I will pad it later, and the second sit will be an office chair.
the entire unit has to be mobile, so it is basically up in the air (on wheels), which is a good thing, I actually had my basement flooded last Friday, and the sim is fine (the PC is also in the rig)
Feel free to ask more questions…

For what it’s worth I find the trim pressure releif in the Yoko very realistic. It has tension bungees on the inside and it’s tiring to hold the yoke out of center position.
<span class=”vortex-p-like-counter 2079″>0I can’t argue that the YOKO is a great piece of equipment (just tried it yesterday at a friend’s sim) but here is why I still want a FFBY:
In a real life 172, when you trim, the effect is lower pressure in your finger tips without moving the yoke. With a centered yoke, you move your hand while trimming and your only observation is the nose2horizon.It’s not too important but it feels better to me.

Thanks for the info Jason.
That’s exactly the reason I am into FFB Yokes.
When I fly the real life Cessna, the most important “feel” I have (and lack in the sim) is that pull/push effort which requires trimming.
I still think that at this point, I should either build my own FFBY or purchase the Brunner, as it has a bigger user’s base AFAICS.
