It was great, but had to abandon it, the 3D printed parts are not strong enough and they warp.

gonna adjust the design to make it more compact, the principle is working fine.
since I do not know the real travel distance of the levers, took 90 degrees from idle to full, resulting in a gear ratio of 1:2 .
is someone can give me the real travel distance of the levers of the baron 58 , that would be nice.

all in all, it’s a bit getting used to, in slow turns, no problem, rapid turns , or on the ground taxi, more of a problem.
in the 737,747, or MD no problem at all, they turn slow.
the worse time I had in the glider, trying to follow the tow plane, o man, that was like a rollercoaster.
also , stutterfree makes a difference.
tried most of the tweaks, but some did not make a difference
project lasso for me, leaving the first 2 cores out , or using all 12 cores with hyperthreading enabled don’t make any difference.
I now run at 4.7 Ghz fixed, and use only the oculus debug tool, supersampling to 2.0, and ASW to auto
in Xplane world objects medium and AA the slider all the way to the left, so no AA, if I set it to 2 I get lags when turning my head.
I can live with the poor resolution outside the window, but having trouble reading the gps, maybe a bendix stack or collins radios read better.
next week the vive pro comes out, and with a 70% increase in resolution this might be better, but you have to buy controllers and sensors also, making this a big investment.
once the first findings come true we will know more

construction will be in aluminum , just as the new shell.

i printed them myself, on a Wanhao i3 plus,
and in the bezels mounted a transparant plexy disk that I made on my home made cnc machine, but this cnc broke down, so can not use it anymore.
the gauges are from airmanager, I like them, but the monitors that run them are very old 15″ 4/3 monitors, and the image quality is poor,
not part of your question, and of topic, but in the mean time desided to,move the pit, the room is so small , it is very difficult to sit comfy , hardly place for the pc’s.
also the visual system with 100″ projector screen and 42″ tv’s is very hard to get right, it looks distorted.
so planning forca curved screen and 3 beamer setup, in a yet to be made simroom .
I love the dash, but far more complicated to build I guess, unless you go the path of all touchscreens?

Some update, monitors installed , and ceiling done.
i hade 2 options , straigt ceiling and side pieces at 45 degrees, as per construction, or curved, i like it curved, so this is what I did.

may I ask what you use for the glareshield top?
in the video of the BFG he named it high density foam, but I can not find any of it hete in Belgium.It has to be something that can be bend en still strong
