I’ve spent some time today further tweaking my monitor alignments and have arrived at updated settings. In particular I tuned two sets of monitor settings, one for the GoPro perspective at the back of the cabin, and another for the perspective from the left seat.
For the GoPro / Back Eyepoint Perspective:
Left:
- 57 FOV
- -90 Lateral
- -7.5 Vertical
- 0 Roll
Center:
- 109 FOV
- 0 Lateral
- 8 Vertical
- 0 Roll
Right:
- 57 FOV
- 90 Lateral
- -7.5 Vertical
- 0 Roll
For the Left Seat / Pilot Eyepoint Perspective:
Left:
- 65 FOV
- -90 Lateral
- -10.5 Vertical
- -1 Roll
Center:
- 109 FOV
- 0 Lateral
- 8 Vertical
- 0 Roll
Right:
- 52 FOV
- 90 Lateral
- -5.5 Vertical
- -2 Roll
Are you still running 1080p or did you drop down to 720 to squeeze out a few more frames?
I moved them to 720p and did not get back as single frame. I’m not GPU limited, that’s for sure.
Hi captain,
1) Did you make the Go Pro setting just for the purpose of making the videos?
2) Is the new “left Seat” alignment your actual setting now?
Yes, the GoPro is for when I’m filming, and the other is for when I’m just flying.
Okiedokey 🙂
Thank you!
nice & probably very useful ….
Video at Eleven….Riiiiiight?

I think it looks much better from watching all of your other videos. Like you mentioned, things transition much quicker from front to side screen. Awesome. Which GoPro are you using? Just curious.
Silver 4 I think … not the newest one.
Looks great! I also tried some new settings. I found out that using non proportional settings works best for me. By using them, you are able to not only set the horizontal FOV, but also the vertical FOV for the sidesreens.
